01. Who we are
Qooboids are made and sold by Qoob Limited, Unit 1 Swallow Court, Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN15 6XX. Qooboids is a Qoob initiative, and a bit of fun. You can reach us through the help page.
In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean Qoob Limited, and “you” means the person buying. We sell to consumers in the UK buying for themselves or as gifts. For company orders and branded runs, talk to Qoob about separate terms.
02. Your order and our contract
- When you place an order, we confirm it on screen. That confirmation is when our contract starts.
- We may turn down an order, for example if we cannot print the words you asked for (see section 3) or a colour is paused. If we do, we tell you why and refund anything paid in full within 14 days.
- Please check your order, including the spelling of any words, before you place it. We print exactly what you type.
- Each order is for one Qooboid. Adding another to your basket replaces the one already there; for more than one Qooboid, place more than one order.
03. Your words on a Qooboid
- When you build your own, you can put up to three lines of eight characters on the chest and on the back, using letters, numbers, spaces and
. , ! ? & ' -. - You are responsible for what you ask us to print. Do not ask us to print anything offensive, unlawful, hateful, or that uses someone else’s trade mark or a real person’s name in a way that could cause them harm.
- We may refuse to print words that break this section. We will tell you and refund you in full.
- The preview on the Build page shows the layout, not an exact match. Colours and lettering on screen can look different from the printed figure.
04. Prices and paying
- Prices are in pounds sterling. Delivery is shown before you place the order and is free.
- You pay by PayPal, or by card through PayPal, when you place the order. We never see or store card details.
- Promo codes are applied at the basket or checkout and reduce the total before you pay. If a code brings the total to nothing, there is nothing to pay and the order is placed without a payment step.
- If we have made an obvious mistake with a price, we will tell you and give you the choice of paying the right price or cancelling for a full refund.
05. Making and delivery
- Every Qooboid is printed and packed by hand, to order. Allow up to two weeks from the day you order for it to arrive, by tracked post.
- We deliver to UK addresses only.
- Because every order is made by hand, delays can happen. If yours is going to take longer than two weeks, we tell you and give you a new date. If the delay is long, you can cancel for a full refund.
- The Qooboid is your responsibility from the moment it is delivered to the address you gave us.
06. Changing your mind
- Ready-made Qooboids. You can cancel within 14 days of the day after delivery, without giving a reason. Tell us through the help page, then send the Qooboid back within 14 days of telling us, unused and in its box.
- We refund the price and the cost of our cheapest delivery option within 14 days of getting it back, or of you showing us proof you sent it, if that is sooner. We may take off an amount if the Qooboid has been handled more than you would in a shop.
- Qooboids with your own words. These are made to your specification, so the right to cancel in section 6.1 does not apply. You can still cancel before we start printing: message us straight away.
- Refunds go back to the way you paid.
07. If something is wrong
Every Qooboid, ready-made or built by you, must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. That is your legal right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing in these terms takes it away.
- If it arrives faulty, damaged, or with the wrong colour or words, tell us within 30 days of delivery with a photo and your order number. You can have a full refund, including delivery, or a new one, whichever you prefer.
- After 30 days, if a fault shows up, we will repair or replace it. If that does not work, you can have some or all of your money back.
- We pay the cost of returning faulty Qooboids.
For advice about your rights, contact Citizens Advice.
08. Discount codes
- A code works once per order unless it says otherwise, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be added after you have placed the order.
- Each code has its own end date and conditions, given wherever we published it.
09. Qoob Dash
- Qoob Dash is a free game. You do not need to buy anything to play, and there is no prize unless we say so for a specific competition with its own rules.
- If you post a score, your nickname and score are shown publicly on the leaderboard. Do not use your full name or anything offensive. We can remove names and scores, and runs that look automated.
10. Safety
A Qooboid is a desk figure, not a toy. It has small parts and is not suitable for children under three. Keep it away from heat, such as radiators and sunny windowsills, which can soften printed parts.
11. Our responsibility to you
- If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was foreseeable when we made the contract.
- We do not limit our responsibility where it would be unlawful to, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breaking your legal rights described in section 7.
- We sell Qooboids for private use. We are not responsible for business losses, such as lost profit or interruption.
12. Designs and your content
- The Qooboid design, the renders, Qoob Dash and the content of this website belong to us. Please do not copy or sell them.
- When you give us words to print, you let us use them to make your order and confirm you have the right to use them.
13. Your information
We use your details to make and deliver your order and to run your account, as our privacy and cookies page explains.
14. Everything else
- We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one on this page when you placed it.
- If a court decides part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
- If you are unhappy with how we handled something, tell us first through the help page.
